I’m so excited about this second book in the series. I was just working on a Bible story for Kids Church in 1 Samuel 1 where people are making fun of a lady named Hannah. It reminded me in some ways of this story, as Hannah begins to listen to the words of the people around her instead of the words of life God speaks.
At the heart of The Captain’s Clue is a parable all about who you are listening to. Who’s voices are you giving the most space in your heart and mind? Are you giving space to the negativity, endless doom-scrolling spirals, and harsh words around you? Or are you giving space to the God who loves you, cares about you, and speaks the truth over you?
Our prayer for this book is that it would speak to people as they discover how much life can be found in the words of Jesus!
